House an Artist

Artist Housing

Berkshire Opera is currently seeking housing for each of the artists who will appear in our 2008 season of “Uncharted Territory.” We rely heavily on the valued members of our community who assist us in finding housing for each member of our roster.

Appropriate homes will be clean and furnished with electricity, air-conditioning, and access to a functional kitchen. On-site internet access, washer and dryer, and cable or satellite television is preferable. Travel time into Lee and/or Pittsfield should be 30 minutes or less.

If you would like to donate or rent a home, condominium, or apartment to Berkshire Opera for one of our company members, please email our Community and Artist Relations Manager, Joe Durwin at jdurwin@berkshireopera.org. Berkshire Opera offers a custom-designed package of competitive benefits to its landlords including advertising opportunities, invitations to special events, and ticket offers.

Virtual Artist Hosting

If you do not have a property to lease to Berkshire Opera, but would like to assist us by being a Virtual Artist Host, you may make a contribution of $2500 to cover the relative cost of hosting an artist. If you would like to become a Virtual Artist Host, please send an email to info@berkshireopera.org or call 413.442.9955. In addition to a custom-designed package of competitive benefits for becoming a Virtual Artist Host, you may also dine with your artist while they are in residence this summer.
